Aberdeen City

Discover Aberdeen City, the energy capital of Europe. Known as the Granite City, Aberdeen is famed for its grand granite buildings, which sparkle in the long summer days. Bon Accord is the motto of the city, and is French literally for "Good Agreement". Legend tells that it dates from the fourteenth century password used by Robert the Bruce during the Wars of Scottish Independence. Aberdeen has long been famous for its outstanding acres of parks and gardens, and citywide floral displays, winning Britain in Bloom a record ten times. Visitors to Aberdeen can enjoy ancient cathedrals and architecture, museums, galleries, scenery, bustling nightlife and superb dining.
